NEWSLETTER #108

THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON
AT STRATHCONA COMMUNITY GARDENS,

Alexandra Thomson, Métis, shared water teachings and an invitation to learn three water songs, sung with drum or rattles (provided). Diana Day, Oneida, provided the opening land acknowledgement and joined us for the afternoon. Martin Borden provided his knowledge, past and present, of the land we stood upon. An unforgettable experience for many of us - learning, painting, stories, singing, dancing to honour and support the water.

Please peruse this Blog for the below items - sharing some of our favourite recent interiews.

Tedd Robinson has left us. Our community lost a beloved artist and teacher. What with plagues and geography, we don't always hear each other's stories when such a good friend is gone from our midst. Will you share yours? MascallDance will make stories we receive available to those who would like to read them.

We also recently lost Paul Plimley, a truly extraordinary musician who memorably played with MascallDance at Housewerk at Hycroft. John Oswald has put together a memorial collection of his music HERE.
